PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A Mercer man has been convicted on federal charges for producing child pornography.

A jury in U.S. District Court in Pittsburgh on Friday found 55-year-old Earl Warner guilty of six counts of production of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor

According to the U.S. Attorney's office, between June 4, 2011 and July 23, 2011, Warner coerced one of three child victims to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce digital photographs and videos.

Investigators say they found the sexually explicit images on Warner's computer on April 9, 2012.

The law provides for a maximum total sentence of life imprisonment, a fine of $1,750,000, or both.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 6.

Warner also faces state charges, including unlawful contact with a minor and four other child sex-related charges.
