Suspect charged in 2012 Warren murder

WARREN, Ohio - More than a year and a half after a Detroit man was gunned down on Warren's southeast side, a suspect has been charged.

The Trumbull County Grand Jury has indicted 25-year-old Lamont Salter for shooting death of Dshawn Scott.

The 35-year-old father of two was fatally shot on the morning on July 9, 2012 at a home on Charles Avenue Southeast.

Salter faces charges of murder, kidnapping, burglary and weapons violations.

Salter is currently serving a five year prison term for burglary and weapons crimes committed in Trumbull County.
