Boardman man pleads guilty to aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A Boardman man was in federal court on Monday on a charge that he aimed a laser pointer at an aircraft.

Travis Krzysztofiak pleaded guilty to flashing a laser light at a medical helicopter as it approached Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman in June.

He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 dollar fine when he is sentenced in May.

    Boardman Police have arrested a man who officers say confessed to being a drug dealer. Police pulled over a car on Route 224 Wednesday evening for an alleged traffic violation and found that 25-year-old Julian Missioni, was driving with a suspended license. When Missioni denied officers permission to search his car, they called in a drug-sniffing K9 who indicated the presence of narcotics in the car, according to the police report.
