GREENVILLE, Pa. - A Mercer County woman is accused of trying to protect her husband, who's accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

State police have charged 44-year-old Rachelle Sankey of Jamestown's with witness intimidation and hindering apprehension.

Investigators say Sankey contacted a teenager and tried to discourage her from providing evidence in the case against her husband, 44-year-old Bruce Sankey, who was arraigned in January on thirty counts, which include charges of statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors, and indecent assault on a person under 16.

Pennsylvania State Police say the crimes occurred in 2011 at Sankey's home, and the deer park in Jamestown where Sankey is employed.

Both husband and wife are free on bond.
