Postal service proposes relocating Cornersburg branch

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Representatives from the United States Postal Service will address Youngstown city council to propose relocating retail service currently available at the Cornersburg post office.

USPS Real Estate Specialist Marla J. Larsen-Williams and Youngstown Postmaster Tom Kerns will address council at it's regular meeting on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.

According to a news release, the Postal Service has been re-evaluating its facilities and is considering relocating the Cornersburg station, located at 3375 Canfield Road.

A new location has not been determined, but postal officials say it would be within the same geographic ZIP Code area.

The post office says there would be no impact on letter carrier delivery to residents and businesses, and no change to Post Office Box numbers or ZIP Codes.

Written comments on the proposal will be accepted until February 20, 2014 and may be submitted to:

Marla J. Larsen-Williams, Real Estate Specialist
