Parking bans in effect throughout Valley

The following is a list of parking bans in effect throughout the Valley due to the on-coming snow storm:

  • Austintown - effective until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
  • Boardman - effective until further notice.  
  • Brookfield - effective until further notice.  
  • Campbell - effective until Friday morning.  
  • Cortland - effective until 5 p.m.  
  • Girard - effective until further notice. 
  • Howland Township - effective until further notice.
  • Liberty Township - effective until further notice.
  • McDonald Village - effective until further notice.  
  • New Middletown - effective until 8 a.m. Thursday
  • Niles - effective until further notice.  
  • Poland Township - effective until further notice. 
  • Poland Village - effective 9 p.m. Tuesday until further notice.
  • Salem - effective until 9 p.m. Wednesday.   
  • Sebring - effective until further notice.  
  • Struthers - effective until further notice.  
  • Warren - effective until further notice.
  • Weathersfield - effective until further notice.  
  • Youngstown - effective until further notice.

Parking bans are put into effect so road crews are able to properly salt the streets. Cars that are parked on city streets and in the way of snow and ice clearing operations could be towed.

    FINDLAY, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in northwest Ohio say two people have been killed in an overnight small plane crash. The Hancock County sheriff's office says the crash apparently occurred at about 1 a.m. EDT Sunday. Investigators were still at the scene Sunday and little other information was available immediately.
