YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Some sweet treats were on display for a good cause on Saturday afternoon.

The second annual Sweet Life Cupcake Competition to benefit the Mahoning Valley Birth Center was held at Stambaugh Auditorium.

Bakers tell 21 News the event is a great opportunity to network while supporting the center.

"The Sweet Life Cupcake Competition benefits the Mahoning Valley Birth Center. It's a non-profit organization and all the proceeds go towards that organization. Area professional bakers get to come together, compete in all different categories of cupcakes and the theme of the day. You get lots of recognition and you get to socialize with all of our various clientele," said Alexis Weber from The Cake Baker.

The Mahoning Valley Birth center was founded in 2012 and supports women through pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood.
