Sisters slain in W. Pa., police seek leads

Posted: Updated:

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Police are investigating the deaths of two sisters who appear to have been shot.

Authorities say that the bodies of 44-year-old Susan Wolfe and 38-year-old Sarah Wolfe were found Friday afternoon in the basement of the Pittsburgh home they shared. Police located Sarah Wolfe's car around 1:15 a.m. Saturday parked nearly a mile from the home.

The medical examiner's office has not released a cause of death, but police say the women appear to have been shot.

Neighbors say the area is normally quiet and safe.
