Bad weather in the East impacting some floral deliveries this Valentine's Day

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Ohio - A blast of winter weather on the East coast is causing big problems for florists.

Industry experts say nearly 67 million flower orders are at risk this Valentine's Day.

Local florists saw prices spike last year due to a snow storm, but this year the cost for a dozen roses has gone unchanged for the most part.

At Dick Adgate Florist in Warren, they're thankful the weather is cooperating for their busy day of deliveries. "We hire extra drivers for just this day. I know last night I looked and we had over one hundred deliveries. And we've been continuously taking orders for the day," Rebecca Norman, Dick Adgate Florist.

Roses start at $40 dozen at Adgate. The most expensive option for your sweetheart that we could find is at Full Circle Florist. The Youngstown flower shop offers free delivery on Infinite Love Roses, which includes five-dozen in an array of colors for about $300 bucks.
