WEST SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A 19-year old man is accused of setting the fire that destroyed his Clarksville Street home last week.

West Salem Township police arrested Seth Zarecky on Saturday and charged him with two counts of arson. One of the charges alleges that the fire was set with the intention of collecting the insurance.

Last Tuesday morning, firefighters from surrounding Mercer County communities were called to a fire at Zarecky's home at 186 Clarksville Street

The home, which was gutted by the fire, was declared a total loss.

No one was injured in the fire.

Police say Zarecky retrieved some belongings from the house, then set a fire in the basement.

Zarecky was jailed and is scheduled to appear before a magistrate for a preliminary hearing on Monday.
