Wrongful death suit filed for crash that killed Newton Falls couple

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed in connection with a traffic accident that claimed the lives of a Newton Falls couple last summer.

83-year-old Dolores Stoner and 87-year-old Kenneth Stoner were killed in a two car crash on I-76 last June.

A lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Youngstown claims that the other driver involved in the crash, Lynn Berger of Cranberry, Pennsylvania was negligent.

The suit claims that Berger's SUV struck the back of the Stoner's car, which had slowed down to avoid construction on the Interstate.

The lawsuit was filed by the son of the victims, Kenneth D. Stoner and his wife Paula who were also injured in the accident.

The suit seeks damages in excess of $450-thousand dollars.
