YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (AP) - Kendrick Perry scored a career-high 35 points and set the Youngstown State single-season record for free throws made as the Penguins beat Milwaukee 88-83 in overtime Thursday night.

Perry broke the record with the second of two made that extended the Youngstown State (15-13, 6-7 Horizon League) lead to 74-71 with 2:01 left in regulation. He has made 165 free throws this season.

Milwaukee's Steve McWhorter hit a 3-pointer with 53 seconds left to force overtime.

Ryan Weber's jumper with 1:05 left in the extra period gave the Penguins an 84-83 lead they wouldn't relinquish, as Milwaukee (16-11, 6-7) went 0 for 3 from the field with a turnover in the final minute.

Austin Arians scored a career-high 28 points for the Panthers, who were playing without their leading scorer, Jordan Aaron, who missed his second consecutive game after being suspended for a violation of team rules.
