COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - The Ohio State Fair is looking for young musicians to be part of its long-running fair choir and band this year.
The fair says high school students have until the end of March to apply for participation in either group. The applications are available through the fair's website.
A limited number of participants are chosen based on skill, recommendations from band and choir directors and other factors. The musicians learn their music shortly before the fair, stay at the event in Columbus for two weeks and put on a total of nearly 200 performances between the band and choir.
This year's fair runs July 23 through Aug. 3.
