MARYSVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say five people were killed in two separate head-on crashes in central Ohio.
Three people - including a 2-year-old boy and a high school student - were killed Sunday night when a Mercury Mountaineer SUV crashed head-on into a Pontiac Bonneville carrying a family of four on a dark road in southern Union County, northwest of Columbus.
The Union County Sheriff's Office identified the victims as 30-year-old Joshua Fraley, 2-year-old Easton Fraley and 17-year-old Olivia Archer.
Three other people, including a child, were hospitalized. The investigation was continuing Monday.
The accident came hours after two people were killed and another was critically injured in a head-on crash in Fairfield County, southeast of Columbus. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said two women in a Honda Accord were killed.
