Contract vote in Youngstown ends in a tie

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - More than 100 union members working at a Youngstown Manufacturing Company are wondering whether or not they have a new contract.

The union at Parker Hannifen voted on a new contract proposal on Tuesday and after all the votes were counted the result was a tie. Fifty-eight for and 58 against.

The union's vice president tells 21 News he's asking his international leadership for direction on what to do next since he's not sure what to do in the case of a tie.
