Weathersfield Twp. police looking for alleged candy thief

WEATHERSFIELD TWP., Ohio - Weathersfield police have issued warrants for a man suspected of stealing $300 worth of candy from a gas station.

Four-four-year-old James Depizzo of Girard is suspected in two thefts at gas stations on Salt Springs Road.

The first was at the Pilot Travel Center and the second alleged theft took place at the Sheetz Gas Station.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Weathersfield Police Department.

    A court hearing is scheduled next week for a Mercer county man charged with rape and indecent assault involving two young girls. Police say the rape charged against 21-year old Zachary Taylor of Grove City involves a 14-year old girl.  In a separate case he is charged with indecent assault of a six year old. He's also charged with corruption of minors.  The offenses reportedly took place at Taylor's home.  He is held in jail pending next week's court hearing.    More >>

    A Warren woman, who police say is an admitted heroin addict, faces charges after officers were called to her home to investigate a report of a child left alone. On Wednesday, police, Trumbull County Children's Services and the County Dog Warden were called to the 2900 block of Van Wye Street SE. Police say there was no food in the house and they could see that the children had been bitten by fleas.
