Authorities search suspected meth lab in Salem

Posted: Updated:

SALEM, Ohio - Authorities say evidence gathered during a raid on a Salem home will be submitted to a grand jury to determine if charges will be filed.

Members of the Columbiana County Drug Task Force searched a home at 922 West Pershing Street on Wednesday morning.

Investigators tell 21 News that they found suspected heroin and materials that could be used to make methamphetamine.

The home was occupied by a woman and her adult son.

Crews wearing protective suits removed potentially dangerous chemicals from the house.

Last year authorities raided five suspected meth labs in Salem.
