CENTRE HALL, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania man faces 1,278 criminal counts of sexual abuse of two girls over about two years.
Police charged 33-year-old Pleasant Gap resident Eric Todd Crader on Wednesday with multiple counts of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault of a child, sexual assault and indecent assault.
He's in the Centre County Correctional Facility with bail at $500,000.
Court officials say there's no defense attorney on file for Crader, who faces a preliminary hearing next week before a district judge in Centre Hall.
The police affidavit filed with the charges indicates the investigation began in May, when one of the alleged victims contacted an elementary school guidance counselor to say she didn't want to be hurt any longer.
