WARREN, Ohio - A former Warren City school employee apologizes for her crime and avoided prison time.

Appearing in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court, Honeya Price of Warren apologized for improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Judge Peter Kontos sentenced Price to 5 years probation and community service.

Price was charged after authorities received reports of a woman brandishing a weapon in the Giant Eagle parking lot on Elm Road. Police found a loaded 40-caliber pistol in Price's purse according to reports.

Price once worked for the Warren School District as a school and family liaison.
