New Middletown man accused of downloading child pornography

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Federal agents have arrested a New Middletown man on child pornography charges.

56-year-old Joey Thomas Holt is charged with receiving and distributing child pornography.

Investigators say Holt downloaded several videos of children as young as two engaging in sex acts with adult males, and in one case with a dog.

According to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court, Holt rented an upstairs apartment at an address on the 5800 block of Columbiana Road.

The affidavit says that Holt admitted using his laptop and desktop computers to search out and look at child pornography.

A federal judge ordered that Holt remain in jail while a federal grand jury considers his case.
