BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - One local park is feeling the love after it was selected to be part of a nationwide program to raise funds for local parks.

Boardman Park has been selected for Heart Your Park, a program introduced as part of Macy's Secret Garden campaign.

From now until March 31st Macy's customers at the Southern Park Mall can donate one dollar or more at the register. One hundred percent of those donations will benefit Boardman Park.

"We rely heavily on these donations and sponsorships to make these programs possible. So the Macy's program is a Godsend for us to hopefully get some additional funding in order to pursue our mission," said Daniel Slagle from Boardman Park.

To further spread the love, Macy's will match the total customer donation across all stores, dollar for dollar, up to 250-thousand dollars in total.
