WARREN, Ohio - Warren police turn up drugs, guns and cash while serving search warrants on the city's Northeast side Friday morning.
Concerned neighbors alerted the Warren Police Street Crimes Unit about a year ago about possible drug-related activity on Porter St. NE.
Warren Police Chief Eric Merkel says search warrants were served at 7 a.m. at 216 and a duplex at 335 and 337 Porter St. Merkel says children were living at both duplex addresses. Police believe all three homes were part of the same drug operation.
Authorities removed bags of evidence from the homes during the raid. The suspects were released pending charges. Merkel says the investigation is ongoing.
