Struthers woman believed to have fatally shot her son also dies

STRUTHERS, Ohio - The case of an apparent murder suicide in Struthers is now closed.

Authorities say that 44-year-old Leslie Slaven died on Tuesday.

Investigators believe that Slaven fatally shot her 23-year-old son Justin Slaven on Thursday of last week, then turned the gun on herself.

Leslie Slaven had been hospitalized in critical condition until her death.

No motive for the shootings were ever revealed.
