Reward offered for suspect in Youngstown attempted murder

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information leading to the capture of a man wanted for attempted murder.

Dashonti Baker is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Youngstown Police Department.

Authorities allege that Baker shot Jaquez Brown in the head at a parking lot at the corner of South and Dewey Avenues in Youngstown on March 15, 2014.

Investigators have issued a description of the suspect:

  • NAME: Dashonti Baker
  • RACE: Black
  • GENDER: Male
  • AGE: 22
  • HEIGHT: 5' 8"
  • WEIGHT: 230

Authorities believe Baker is hiding somewhere on the Southeast side of Youngstown.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Baker is asked to call the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED, or text keyword WANTED and tip to 847411 (tip411).

Tipsters can remain anonymous and reward money is available.
