Chevy Cruze sales continue upward trend

Posted: Updated:

DETROIT, Mich. – Sales of the Lordstown made Chevrolet Cruze continued an upward trend in March.

General Motors reported on Tuesday that 26,521 units of the small car were delivered last month, which was a 14% increase over the 23,260 models sold in March of last year.

March Cruze sales were also 21% higher than sales in February.

Year to date, Cruze sales are 17% higher compared to the first three months of last year.

Total GM sales were up 4 percent compared with a year ago.

Retail sales were up 7 percent and GM gained retail market share.

U.S. Vice President of Sales Operations Kurt McNeil credits the increase to improvements in the weather and the economy.
