Dollar store employee robbed in Warren

WARREN, Ohio - Warren police are looking for more information about a Thursday morning robbery.

Officers were called to the Family Dollar Store on Mahoning Avenue around 8:30 a.m. after a store employee told investigators that he was held up outside the store.

The victim says a man armed with a gun robbed him as he was on his way to the bank to deposit the day's receipts.

    A special visit from President Trump attracted thousands to downtown Youngstown Tuesday, though not as many as initially expected. Early estimates based on online reservations through the Trump campaign projected nearly 20,000 people headed to the city, but realistically, fewer than 10,000 filled the Covelli Centre and its outdoor overflow viewing area.
