Columbiana hosts workplace violence prevention forum

Posted: Updated:

COLUMBIANA, Ohio - The Columbiana County Chamber of Commerce hosted a workplace violence community forum Monday.

The forum was held at the Columbiana Public Library thanks in part to a mini-grant by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine.

"This particular event was addressing the topic of workplace domestic violence. We invited people from the Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce because we know that workplace violence is impacting companies through reduced productivity and increased risk of violence coming in to the workplace." said Dottie Kane of VIP Family Violence Prevention.

The event was held as part of National Crime Victims' rights week to help raise awareness.
