Youngstown's South Side Annex building sold

Posted: Updated:

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The building that once housed the Board of Elections and other Mahoning County offices, has a new owner.

Four bidders took part in Friday's auction of the South Side Annex building.

The winning bid of $190,000 went to Richard Abel, President of Banner Supply whose offices are about two blocks from the annex.

Abel says his immediate plans are to use the space for storage.

The annex was closed in 2011 when the county moved offices to the Oakhill Renaissance Place.
