YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A third person has been convicted of dumping gas and oil drilling waste that seeped into a tributary of the Mahoning River.

Forty-six-year-old Mark Goff of Newton Falls pleaded guilty to violating the Clean Water Act.

Authorities say on the order of his boss, Ben Lupo, Goff poured brine and chemicals into a storm sewer at Hardrock Excavating in 2012.

Goff will be sentenced in July.

The other employee is on probation after pleading guilty. Lupo will be sentenced in June.
