Damage estimated as high as $4-million from Reynolds Industrial fire

PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP, Pa. - We may never know what caused a major industrial fire at the Reynolds Industrial Park on Friday.

More than fifty fire departments from Mercer and surrounding counties assisted local crews battling flames that broke out in a wooden building being prepared for demolition.

Some nearby buildings were also damaged.

Pennsylvania State Police Deputy Fire Marshal, Trooper Luke Nelson tells 21 News that he believes that source of the fire was accidental, but the structure was destroyed so thoroughly, there's not enough remaining evidence to pinpoint an exact cause.

Trooper Nelson says damage is estimated at between $3-million and $4-million.

No one was injured fighting the fire which caused a plume of smoke that could be seen from twenty miles away.
