WARREN, Ohio - A Warren police officer under investigation waived his right to appear for a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

Officer Reuben Shaw was placed on administrative leave after he was accused of towing another person's vehicle to his property, while on-duty and without the owner knowing on June 30, 2013. He's been on leave ever since.

The incident prompted a probe by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and results were turned over to the Trumbull County prosecutor's office in March.

Warren Police Chief Eric Merkel now has up to 10 days to determine Shaw's final disciplinary outcome.
