AKRON, Ohio -

Jim Tressel is preparing to take the next step in his bid to become the next president of the University of Akron.  The former Ohio State University and Youngstown State football coach is scheduled to appear Thursday at a 1:30 p.m. public forum at the Student Union Theatre on campus

The public will have about 45 minutes to ask questions Tressel, who is among three finalists vying for the position of president.

WFMJ.COM will provide a live stream of the forum.

Tressel is also one of three final candidates in the running for president of Youngstown State University.

He is scheduled to take part in a similar forum on the YSU campus at 2:00 p.m. Monday inside the Board of Trustees meeting room.
