Farrell man charged with corrupting minors

Posted: Updated:
FARRELL, Pa. - Southwest Regional Police arrested a Farrell man for the alleged sexual assault of a minor.  Police say that on Monday, they found 33-year-old Russell Carter hiding in a kitchen cabinet at a home on the  1000 block of Stambaugh Avenue in Hermitage.

Police say that the charges stem from an alleged sexual assault that occurred in Farrell sometime over the last three months of 2013, as reported by the victim's family.  According the court records, the alleged victim was a minor, but older than 11 years of age

Carter, who is charged with statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors, was held for arraignment, and later transferred to the Mercer County Jail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 13 before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Antos.
