Coitsville cop cleared after crash

COITSVILLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - No charges will be filed against a Coitsville Township police officer whose cruiser was involved in a crash during a pursuit.

That's the word from township Police Chief  Mike Morris who says that the Youngstown Police Department has completed an investigation into the accident.

Officer Donald Dudley's cruiser crashed into a car and a  utility pole on Lansdowne Boulevard in Youngstown last September, a he was chasing two men who tried to steal a car.

The driver of the other car, who was not involved in the chase, was injured.
