Charge dropped against Weathersfield teen accused of blocking snow plow

NILES, Ohio - A Mineral Ridge teen is no longer in trouble for allegedly blocking a snow plow during the height of the deep freeze in February.

18-year-old Stefon Walker was originally charged with disrupting public services after he and a 16-year-old companion were accused of  refusing to get out of the way of a snow plow on Seaborn Street.

The  police report also said that the teens uttered curses and threw snowballs at the truck as they approached the driver.

The prosecuting attorney says that since then, Walker has paid for his crime by cleaning a Weathersfield township road truck inside and out.

On Monday a judge in Niles Municipal Court dismissed the charge. Walker still has to pay $77 in court costs.
