YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -

Just four days before the election, allegations are being made against Mahoning County's Democratic Party Chairman.

Don Hanni, III, a candidate for precinct committee man, accuses Mahoning County Democratic Party Chairman Dave Betras of circulating campaign literature claiming his opponent has been endorsed by the Ohio Democratic Party.  Even though technically the Democratic Party does not endorse for precinct positions.

Hanni says, "My dad was chairman for 16 years. I learned very well the things you can do and the things you can't do and this is something you can't do."

Hanni and his attorney, David Engler, want a hearing on the issue before the election this Tuesday. They also are calling on Chairman Betras to step down.

Ken Carano who is the Election Chairman for Mahoning County's Democratic Party says, "Chairman Betras is the party Chairman and he has the right to use the term endorse within the party." Carano goes on to say, "This is much ado about nothing."
