WARREN, Ohio -
Warren police are investigating a shooting on the city's Southeast Side that left a 17 year old dead.
According to the Warren Police Department, two people were approaching a home on Brier Street S.E. on Wednesday, when the 32 year old homeowner confronted them. The homeowner fired several shots, as the pair ran away.

One of the burglars was shot and collapsed the next street over on Wick Street.

The 17 year old was declared dead at St. Joseph Health Center.  His name is not being released at this time.

John F. Kennedy High School and Willard PK-8 are in the neighborhood where the incident took place, and both schools were placed on lock down for about an hour.

Police do not have a description of the other burglary suspect, because he shed his clothes in the woods as he ran away.

This is a developing story. Check back here or tune in to later newscasts for more details as they become available.
