Newton Falls City Manager candidate for Sandusky job

Posted: Updated:
NEWTON FALLS, Ohio - Newton Falls City Manager Jack Haney is being considered for a  job in Sandusky, Ohio.  The Sandusky City Commissioners next week will interview five finalists vying for the job of City Manager.

Haney is on that list.  His application submitted to the commissioners says he has been serving as Newton Falls City Manager since 2007, and has been employed in several municipal administrative positions since 1984.

In 2011, in spite of a petition drive to reverse a decision not to renew the City Manager's contract, council replaced him, only to do an about face several months later and restore Haney to his position.

Haney has not responded to our e-mail and phone messages seeking comment.
