Animal Charity equipment stolen

A thief in the night has disrupted some of the services provided by the Animal Charity Humane Society.

The agency's van was parked at the Market Street shelter when someone smashed the driver's side window and stole equipment that is used in cases of animal abuse and neglect.

"Our digital cameras, our laptop temperature gun for temperatures outside when the dogs are too hot; all that equipment is vital to what they do." said Animal Charity Humane Society President Jason Cooke.

The shelter believes that a person captured by surveillance cameras looking into the van Saturday morning, probably committed the break-in later that night.  Boardman police are investigating.
