Man suspected of dealing drugs near Niles McKinley High School

NILES, Ohio -

Authorities have arrested a man who they say had been selling drugs just blocks from Niles McKinley High School.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers from Niles Police and other agencies raided an an apartment at 6 East Woodland Avenue.

They arrested 36-year-old Tyrell Williamson on a charge of aggravated drug trafficking in a school zone.

Investigators say the apartment is approximately one-tenth of a mile from the high school.

Undercover agents say they made several drug buys at the apartment.

According to a news release from the Niles Police, Williamson has an extensive criminal record.

Police say the investigation was sparked by complaints from neighbors.
