Austintown woman accused of shooting husband

Posted: Updated:
An Austintown woman is scheduled to appear in court Monday after allegedly shooting her husband.

54-year-old Margaret Tucker was booked into the Mahoning County jail Thursday on a charge of felonious assault.

According to police, Tucker shot her 61-year-old husband Harry Tucker III in the stomach during an argument at their South Edgehill Avenue home on May 6.

The report describes the circumstances as a "lovers quarrel"

Margaret Tucker told police on the phone that her husband came at her and wouldn't leave her alone, so she shot him.

Police say her husband was scheduled to be discharged from the hospital on Friday.
