Lowellville man ordered to make restitution to child porn victim

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Lowellville man is ordered to make restitution to a victim of child pornography.

A judge in U.S. District Court in Cleveland sentenced 50-year-old Paul Schumacher to more than eight years in prison on Tuesday.

Schumacher pleaded guilty in January to receiving and distributing images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Schumacher was arrested following a search of his Hop Street home last summer.

According to an FBI affidavit, Schumacher used a computer to download several images of nude, pre-teen girls in suggestive poses.

Agents found fifty folders on his computer containing the sexually explicit images.

The judge also ordered Schumacher to make $1,000 restitution to one of the victims depicted in some of the images found in Schumacher's possession.

When he completes his prison term, Schumacher will be placed on probation for ten years.
