Cavaliers to interview Lue, Gentry

Posted: Updated:
CLEVELAND (AP) - A person with knowledge of the talks says the Cavaliers are interviewing Los Angeles Clippers assistants Tyronn Lue and Alvin Gentry for their coaching job.

The Cavs are meeting with Lue on Thursday and Gentry on Friday.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team is not commenting during its search.

The Cavaliers are looking for their third coach in three years after firing Mike Brown for the second time. The team interviewed Chicago assistant Adrian Griffin on Tuesday. Cleveland is also expected to interview former Memphis coach Lionel Hollins.

Lue played 11 seasons in the NBA for seven teams. He's worked on Doc Rivers' staff in Boston and Los Angeles.

AP Sports Writer Jon Krawczynski contributed to this report.
