Cafaros offer tuition help to students from two closed Catholic schools

Posted: Updated:
NILES, Ohio - The Cafaro Foundation is offering a one-year, $1,000 scholarship to any student from St. Stephen School in Niles and IHM/St. Joseph School in Austintown who enrolls at St. Rose School in Girard.

The Diocese of Youngstown announced that neither St. Stephen, nor IHMSJ will open again next school year, requiring parents to make other arrangements for the education of their children.

According to a news release from the  foundation, the scholarship is available to all students from the closed schools who wish to attend St. Rose, with no other restrictions.

The recently renovated St. Rose school offers classes for children in kindergarten through eighth grade. The school has a new computer lab, WiFi internet and a new playground.

Parents seeking more information about St. Rose and the new scholarships may visit online at www.saintrosecatholicschool.com, via email at stroseprincipal@gmail.com, or by calling (330) 545-1163.
