Twilash Advances to Finals Round, New Startup Contestants Announced

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dream Big America (www.DreamBigAmerica.us), powered by Sprint (www.Sprint.com), announced today that the startup, Twilash, is the first weekly winner of June's entrepreneurial competition. Twilash (www.Twilash.com) will advance to the Dream Big America Finals Round on June 27th to compete against the two other weekly startup winners in June.

Twilash, presented by founder Keni Urrechaga, is a design company that develops engineered solutions for the beauty industry. Urrechaga and his team engineered a patent pending product that is an all-in-one for eyelash care and maintenance. The ergonomically designed Twilash applicator allows users to easily curl, shape, apply and remove mascara. Twilash competed in the national Dream Big America pitch competition against PawWash, a paw cleaning tool, and Lo-Bak Trax, a spinal traction device designed to alleviate back pain.

Also during today's Dream Big America Show, three new contestants pitched their startup to the live listening audience. These three featured startups included Anywhere-Fridge, CRESBI Crate, and SeatBelt Guard.

Anywhere-Fridge (www.AnywhereFridge.com), presented by Monica Ortiz, is the world's first portable refrigerator, freezer and warmer that is both collapsible and solar powered.

CRESBI Crate (www.CresbiCrate.com), presented by Linda Fritz, is a collapsible, portable crate system that allows users to transport groceries from the store to home without the use of plastic bags.

SeatBelt Guard (www.SeatBeltGuard.com), presented by Jere Matthews, is a device that will let you know when your driver is texting while they're driving.

June is the first month incorporating Dream Big America's new partnership with My Cool Inventions Radio (www.MyCoolInventionsRadio.com). This new partnership will double the reach of Dream Big America's weekly listening audience, expand and enhance the format of the show, and also provide unique opportunities to inventor entrepreneurs.

Tapping into the surging entrepreneurial movement spreading across the country, Dream Big America strives to educate and support startups, all while providing an exciting venue for America to choose which new businesses it wants to see hit the market. Each week, Dream Big America features three entrepreneurs from around the country. Each startup contestant pitches their business idea for two minutes each, followed by an expert panelist who offers feedback and suggestions. Each weekly winner competes in a final, monthly competition that results in an ultimate winner of the bracket style competition. Dream Big America airs each Friday at 9:00am to 10:00am ET on Doug Stephan's Good Day Program (www.DougStephan.com) to a national listening audience.
