Youngstown police seek suspect in hit and run rollover crash

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Police are investigating a rollover crash that nearly sent one car into a building at the corner of South Avenue and East Philadelphia.

First responders were on the scene of the accident that left one car leaning against a fence outside the East Side Civics club at about 11:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses say another vehicle was involved in the accident, but left the scene.

However, the bumper of the other vehicle was left behind with the license plate still attached.

At least one victim has been taken to the hospital. There is no information on the name of the victim, who is listed in stable condition.

Police closed South Avenue in the vicinity of the crash while police investigated.

    State investigators are reviewing surveillance video of a Mahoning County Sheriff's deputy who has been placed on paid administrative leave. Sheriff Jerry Greene tells 21 News that around 9:45 pm on July 10, Deputy Zachary Pasko made some type of physical contact with an inmate being escorted inside the jail.
