Pavlik found guilty of OVI

Posted: Updated:

Former boxer Kelly Pavlik has pleaded guilty to a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol pulled him over on the Ohio Turnpike in Jackson Township in December after receiving a call that a car fitting a description of Pavlik's vehicle was being driven by a possibly impaired driver.

Troopers say Pavlik refused to submit to a field sobriety test or blood alcohol test.

The former champ was ordered to pay $904.00 in fines and court costs.

In 2011, Pavlik was cited for DUI, but that charge was dismissed and he pleaded guilty to failing to control his vehicle and failing to report an accident.
