Salem man to go on trial again for Columbiana County murder

Posted: Updated:
LISBON, Ohio -

A Columbiana County man will be tried again for the murder of a Salem man.

The Columbiana County Prosecutor says he will put 36-year-old Christopher Miller on trial again in November, after a jury could not reach a unanimous verdict on murder and aggravated murder charges.

The prosecutor says that one juror disagreed with other jurors involved in deliberations.

Miller was found guilty of tampering with evidence, and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Miller was charged in connection with the October, 2013 bludgeoning death of Matthew Bailey.

Authorities found the body of the 34-year-old Salem man off Hartley Road in Butler Township.
