BOARDMAN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -

A jewelry store owner claims a man walked away from her kiosk in the Southern Park Mall with $93,000 in jewelry.

Sonia Bhatia told Boardman police a man asked to see various necklaces and bracelets at her store, Jewels & More, on Tuesday. He put the merchandise on, then took off running, the police report said.

The store owner told police the suspect was tackled and dropped his phone, but he managed to get away.

Bhatia, once a co-owner of Spice of India in Boardman, currently faces arson and insurance fraud charges in the October 2013 fire at the restaurant.

No arrests have been made.
