Fire damages Lawrence County paving supply company

Posted: Updated:
MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

Investigators report heavy damage from a fire that roared through a building being used by a paving supply business in Lawrence County Tuesday night.

The fire gutted the West State Street building containing equipment owned by the Seal Master company.

Police reported seeing flames coming through the roof just after 11:30 p.m. Firefighters were called from surrounding  communities to battle the  blaze.

Fire chief Francis Exposito tells 21 News that crews worked to keep sparks from flying to another building where sealants and other asphalt products are stored.  Another concern was the nearby Sky King fireworks business.

Chief Exposito also says that several additions had been made to the building over the years, making it more difficult to fight the fire.

No one was injured.

Investigators are looking for a cause.
